Cat neutering campaign to launch

Cats protection

Cats Protection are planning to launch a new neutering campaign in February 2016 to encourage owners to have their cats neutered.

The neutering campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of having your pet neutered, as well as dispelling some of the myths around neutering, as part of responsible pet ownership.

They will offer subsidised vouchers to families on certain benefits or low income throughout the EH postcode area meaning owners would only have to pay £5 and therefore can have their cats undergo this important procedure affordably.

Cats Protection say the average cost of neutering a cat can vary between £60-80 for a male and £80-£120 for a female. The charity also recommends that cats and kittens are neutered from around four months of age, before they become sexually mature.
