Here is just a small part of what has been going on in your area over the past week.

The City of Edinburgh Council along with Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust have launched a community consultation to ask your ideas on how to improve Hunter’s Hall Park. Have your say here.

One more group of pupils from Castlebrae have spent some time on the Isle of Skye this week, participating in the Columba1400 leadership programme. During the week, pupils are encouraged to work in teams to face challenges that will improve their confidence, self-motivation and give them valuable skills so they can realise their full potential.

S1 pupils at Castlebrae Community High School have been involved in a community litter pick, giving the area around Greendykes Road a well needed tidy up.

Just a word of caution, there has been a few reports recently of house break-ins so we would like to remind our readers to be extra careful. If you have a chain on your door then make sure you use it. If you are unsure about someone who has come to your door, ask for ID or simply turn them away.

Health Opportunities Trust (HOT) have launched a new ‘Feel Good’ group for young men and women. If you would like to get fit, try out something new or boost your confidence then contact Andy on 0131 468 4600 or email andy@health-opportunities.org.uk

As many of you may be aware Castleview Primary School pupils often provide guided tours of Craigmillar Castle. They have now been featured in a new promotional video from Historic Environment Scotland. We hope to bring you more on this soon!
