The Cyrenians are inviting you to tea on Wednesday 14 December 2016 where they will speak about their new Golden Years Befriending Service and volunteering opportunities.
Join them at the Macintosh Room in Norton Park Business Centre on Wednesday for mince pies, refreshments and meet the team as they prepare to open the new befriending service.
The service will be aimed at over 60’s who are at risk of loneliness and isolation.
The Cyrenians said that the meeting will be the ideal opportunity to find out more about what the service will provide. If you are interested in joining the new team as a Befriender on a voluntary basis, they will be able to tell you more about this opportunity which they say will be a rewarding role, will be key to reducing loneliness and helping clients reconnect with their local communities.
