Autumn update from Bridgend

big-logoBridgend Inspiring Growth would like to share with you their Autumn update.

Hi everyone. Here’s an Autumn update of happenings in and around Bridgend Farmhouse:

Bonfire Night

On Sunday 6th November we had a really magical Bonfire Night at Bridgend Farmhouse. An enormous thanks to all that attended, brought and shared food, music and helped out in many different ways..it was a great evening…and has warmed us for a colourful and crisp Autumn ahead!

What’s On..

Over the next 6 weeks we will continue to run our weekly drop-in on Wednesday and Sunday from 11-3. You can find a flyer below for information on the weekly Wednesday and Sunday drop-ins – please do share and distribute. Activities include building an outdoor shelter; maintaining the garden and wildlife area; working towards developing an outdoor kitchen; and more. Do come down and lend a hand on the land if you can. People are welcome to drop-in for any length of time and are free to also come along to socialise with others. All encouraged to come down. There’s lots of photos on Facebook of exciting work that has been happening recently. We’ve also been running a series of Forest skills workshops for young people, between 10 and 16, from the Liberton/Gilmerton area. There is a couple of session left, on Sundays, so if you know anyone interested please contact : bridgendbuild@gmail.com

BIG Calendar/Wallplanner

With the rise of the digital era and the lack of printed information of what’s on locally, we are hearing the call more and more from people in the area for a hard printed calendar or wall planner that can help local groups/organisations/businesses/politicians to advertise, share information and important dates. Over the next week or so we will be finalising our plans to potentially make a 2017 calendar or wall planner, if there is enough interest. If you are interested at all, in advertising or in adding in dates or information please contact Hilary at: bridgendbuild@gmail.com
