The Thistle Foundation would like to give you an update on their Doors Open Day which took place on Saturday 24 September 2016.

On Saturday 24 September the Thistle Foundation participated in the Cockburn Association’s Edinburgh-wide Doors Open Day.

The day was a great success with over 200 visitors being welcomed to the Centre of Wellbeing.

There were a range of activities on offer throughout the day including tai chi, mindful meditation and screen-printing, giving visitors a taster of Thistle’s work.

Highlights of the day included a talk by the Centre of Wellbeing’s architect-mastermind, Chris Dobson, who explained the process of designing the purpose-built space in the heart of Craigmillar, tours of the building and a mammoth T for Thistle held in Thistle’s Garden Suite.

The day introduced many new people to Thistle’s work and Thistle are delighted to see an increase in participants in their tai chi and indoor curling classes as a result of the day.
