The Environment Forum of Portobello & Craigmillar recently congratulated the Council’s Task Force for clearing areas in Niddrie Mains and Greendykes.
We later learnt that 6 members of staff spent a total of 24 hours to uplift 36 tonnes of rubbish. Last year the same team cleared 60 tonnes from Greendykes.
The task now is to ensure people do not return to dump more rubbish. Please help keep Craigmillar tidy – if you see anyone fly-tipping please contact the Environmental Wardens on 529 6399.
