The Magdalene Edible Estates project this week released a short film by Edinburgh film maker Glenda Rome, showing the work of the local volunteers at the new Magdalene Community Garden. Since last summer they’ve transformed an unused corner of the Magdalene Estate into a space for growing fruit and vegetables for the whole community, with 40 raised beds, a forest garden, and a community shed. Magdalene Edible Estates holds regular cookery sessions at the Community Centre, the next one being on Tuesday 9th February from 12 noon. What a lovely film. I think doing things like publishing this film on the Chronicle does a lot to promote all the good work that is going on in the Edinburgh area. Keep up the good work, all involved!
