Network Rail Advanced Apprentice Opportunities

An Advanced Apprenticeship with Network Rail will help you unlock your career potential whilst working on some of the largest engineering challenges in the UK. A mixture of education and hands on experience, the three-year scheme supports career paths across a range of engineering specialisms, including electrification and plant, signalling, track and more.

You will spend your first 20 weeks living and learning at Network Rail’s state of the art training centre in the Midlands, receiving training and support that will prepare you for the rest of your programme spent working from a depot local to home. The scheme is really just the beginning. At Network Rail you will have a wide range of career opportunities, as well as support towards achieving chartered membership of a professional engineering institute. All ensuring your inner engineer has a career for life.

Requirements

Age requirements
You must be aged 18 or older on 1st October. This is to ensure we comply with health & safety requirements. There is no upper age limit for the programme.

Academic qualifications

We require the equivalent of four GCSEs.
A*-C including english, maths and science or engineering.
benefits

An advanced apprenticeship means the chance to earn a real wage while you learn. The current salary is £8,618 during your first year, plus £1,150 for successful completion. This rises to £12,055 in the second year and £14,364 in the third year. The salary is currently under review, please visit our website for updates.
