Yesterday saw the first in a new series of lunchtime workshops in Magdalene, looking at building cooking confidence and ways to reduce our food waste. It’s a big topic at the moment, with Hugh’s War on Waste featuring on prime-time telly, and we’re keen to help local residents save money on wasted food and cook up some tasty, healthy meals in the meantime!
Workshops will be taking place every fortnight at the Magdalene Community Centre. The next two sessions are on Tuesday 1st December and Tuesday 15th December 2015, both starting at 12 noon. Drop by or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. You can also follow the project via our Facebook page here.
We also made a warming vegetarian shepherds pie yesterday and would like to share this recipe with you to cheer you up in this winter weather! You can find this here.
