Over the last few weeks Thistle Foundation has been hosting printmaking workshops with artist Amy Pickles.

These free classes have attracted budding artists from across Craigmillar.

The next printmaking workshop will take place on Friday 20 November, between 12 and 3pm in the Garden Suite (located just off Queen’s Walk).

Amy Pickles is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art and has had numerous exhibitions of her work around Scotland as well as several residences in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Nottingham.

You can watch a selection of Amy’s films on her Vimeo channel, here.

Craigmillar-based Thistle Foundation provides a range of support services for people with disabilities and health conditions, including training and consultancy advice and conference facilities.

Chronicle Online will be featuring regular reports of workshops and activities at the Thistle Foundation in the coming weeks.
