Council’s rent consultation

A drop in event will take place in the East Neighbourhood Centre on Monday 16 November 2015 from 2pm to 4pm on the Council’s 2016/17 rent consultation.

Every year The City of Edinburgh Council asks their tenants for views on how their rent should be spent. This year they want to hear from you how they can help to reduce your living costs such as heating, phone and broadband, by investing and delivering in housing services differently.

They have been working with members of the Tenants’ Panel since June this year to identify possible ways that they could help save tenants’ money.

The consultation asks for you to select what 4 options out of 8 you think are the most important. Options include, but are not limited to, investing in energy saving measures, offering cheaper energy in partnership with a low-cost energy supplier and offering discount cards for high street shops. You are also given the opportunity to comment further on your options.

You can find out more information or take part in the consultation online here.
