A very vibrant management committee and members, enjoyed a great celebration at Friday’s AGM of all the highlights of the year, not least the Garden Globe project.

Led by Kirsten and Graham, a highly motivated group of people have transformed 0.10 hectares of disused land into a community garden and lots of people are growing their own produce, cooking together, developing new tastes and learning loads.

One volunteer said: “Volunteering with Garden Globe has changed my mindset. In the evening, I spend a lot of time thinking about the garden rather than the darker parts of life.” I’m sure she’s not alone!

Garden Globe are always keen to welcome new volunteers and participants to the project. If you are interested in joining in or would like to know more then please contact Kirsten on 0131 657 1595 or kirsten.muir@jackkanecommunity.org
