Castlebrae pupils go out for the day

Some of the S1 pupils have been so good at integrating into their new school that they were taken out on a school trip just before the half-term break.

As you can see they were jumping for joy as they left the school to  go out accompanied by Mrs Allan and Mr Lindsay.

The whole trip was organised by Rabbie’s Trail Burners who do tours with visitors to Edinburgh. The pupils went on a walk with Mercat Tours on The Royal Mile and in one or two closes just off the High Street (where they are sure they saw a ghost!) and they had lunch in John Lewis with a special trip to the roof terrace which is not open to the public and finally they visited The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Some sore feet at the end of the day!

Teacher Debbie Allan said: “We all had a great day out and though it was great fun it was also educational.”
