The general manager of Craigmillar’s Community Alliance Trust has told the Chronicle Online that the new community website will be “key” to getting news and local information out to residents around the east and south of Edinburgh.

“There is a lack of information that’s owned by the community,” said Bob Giulianotti.

“A lack of information that’s made by the community. And we need the Chronicle for that.

“There is great stuff going on in Craigmillar. Where do you hear about it?

“Nowhere.

“So the Chronicle in Craigmillar is going to give people a voice.”

We are inviting writers, reporters, photographers and video makers to attend training sessions during October at The White House in Craigmillar.

The first introductory session will be on 02 October.

There will be updates on the dates, times and further details about each of the training sessions here at Chronicle Online.

You can watch our interview with Bob Giulianotti here:

The website goes live later in the autumn.
